so cute。 i loved the illustrations。 so happy and cheerful。 some of these would be perfect for a kids room, murals and such。 i wanted to see what the reviewer meant by "saying my prayers", i did not recall a prayer within the book, why i went back 。。。there is a page "# seven - that includes saying your prayers" 。。。 i can see how that might not be for some, not in their nightly routine?? but why not do what you do in your routine instead, you can easily move past the number seven, it is not pushin so cute。 i loved the illustrations。 so happy and cheerful。 some of these would be perfect for a kids room, murals and such。 i wanted to see what the reviewer meant by "saying my prayers", i did not recall a prayer within the book, why i went back 。。。there is a page "# seven - that includes saying your prayers" 。。。 i can see how that might not be for some, not in their nightly routine?? but why not do what you do in your routine instead, you can easily move past the number seven, it is not pushing you to do anything, just a suggestion, a thought, just one number in the whole book。 i think it means no harm (to your beliefs, thought, or how you decide to live your life, or how you pick to raise your children) 。。。that is just what this author picks to do 。。。 。。。more

Milujte tuto malou knížečku! Krásně ilustrovaná。 Na každé stránce je pro děti odlišný předspákový rituál, kteremu se děti mohou učit a přitom počítat vycházející hvězdičky。 Skvělý měkký potah s třpytivými hvězdami je prostě rozkošný。 Nemůžu se dočkat, až budu číst se svou neteří。Love this little book! Beautifully illustrated。 Each page has a different pre-sleep ritual that children can learn and count rising stars at the same time。 A great soft cover with glittering stars is just adorable。 I can Milujte tuto malou knížečku! This book is really sweet。 The illustrations are adorable and detailed, and the rhymes are catchy。 The bedtime routine does involve saying prayers, so that may be a factor in whether the book works for your family。

This is a wonderful children's bedtime book!  It is designed for younger children and will help their transition to bedtime。  I love the softly padded hard cover & board pages。  The foil gold stars jump out on the cover, and are absolutely adorable!  The story and illustrations are magically written。  I loved how the animals come alive with every turn of a page, as you count to 10 visiting their different bedrooms。 Children will want to read this book over and over again! Ten Little Night Stars is designed for the younger child, and the softly padded cover with foil gold stars and sturdy board pages it is sure to be a pleaser。 The pictures are cute, colorful, and certainly eye-catching。 Each page flip shows a different "critter" and is in a different bedroom。 So this isn't about a specific child getting put to bed, but an assortment of little ones in the process of a bedtime routine。This isn't a sleepy-time read since the little critters are a bit active (i。e。, j Ten Little Night Stars is designed for the younger child, and the softly padded cover with foil gold stars and sturdy board pages it is sure to be a pleaser。 The pictures are cute, colorful, and certainly eye-catching。 Each page flip shows a different "critter" and is in a different bedroom。 So this isn't about a specific child getting put to bed, but an assortment of little ones in the process of a bedtime routine。This isn't a sleepy-time read since the little critters are a bit active (i。e。, jumping into bed, then in a chair, then out of bed for prayers, then back in bed - but that does mirror the lively lives of toddlers all their waking hours)。 The flow of getting prepared for bed, slowing down, praying, and then getting in bed is a bit mixed up。 The illustrations are cute and colorful and are perhaps digitally crafted。 I do miss the pen or brush to page art creations from an artist's hand。 But digital is good, too。 One will find the delightful art of Gabi Murphy on a plethora of children's books。 Always lovely。The text is a rhyme of sorts。 Little kiddies are not going to really notice when the cadence is off or that the rhyme is stilted, but it never hurts to have a good lively cadence with expected line lengths in the structure。 Even though this is a publication from Christian publisher, ZonderKidz, there is little to Christianize it except they say their prayers。 This is an adorably cute little book and will be enjoyed by little ones。 The counting aspect is always a winner and little ones love to show off that they know which number comes next in the count。 DISCLOSURE: I received a complimentary copy from the BookLook blogger review program on behalf of ZonderKidz and the author to facilitate a review。 Opinions are my own and are freely given。 。。。more

This book screams cute, while offering a lovely read to help those sleepy eyes close and drift into dreamland。Through simple counting and flowing rhyme, young animals head to bed and cuddle in for a good night's sleep。 The board book is sturdy with a slightly fluffy cover to make it perfect for small hands。 The book will withstand some abuse and is easy to wipe off from minor messes。 But it's the cover which catches attention。 The glistening, golden stars catch the eye, while the big elephant su This book screams cute, while offering a lovely read to help those sleepy eyes close and drift into dreamland。Through simple counting and flowing rhyme, young animals head to bed and cuddle in for a good night's sleep。 The board book is sturdy with a slightly fluffy cover to make it perfect for small hands。 The book will withstand some abuse and is easy to wipe off from minor messes。 But it's the cover which catches attention。 The glistening, golden stars catch the eye, while the big elephant supporting the smaller one sets the perfect, warm mood。With a loud one, the first page starts off the counting。 Each spread has the number and a cute four-line poem, which lead various, young animals from a bath all the way to falling asleep。 The style is calming and repetitive, perfect for little eyes to start drooping。 Following familiar activities, it's a gentle read which suggests caring, support and love the whole way through。 This is a religious read but it's kept subtle and flows into an everyday setting。The illustrations are bright and carry enough detail to allow young listeners room to make discoveries of their own and point them out。 The text is simple enough for even little ears and packs enough emotion to make it fun to read-aloud。 While the rhyming glides along smoothly, there a couple spots which caught off guard and broke pace。This is a wonderful book for a last read before heading off to bed and is sure to become a favorite。I received a complimentary copy from Booklook Bloggers and found this so cute that I wanted to leave my honest opinion。 。。。more
